Transfer: Venezia agree deal with Sevilla for Adams

Venezia Secures Transfer of Akor Adams from Sevilla
Venezia F.C., newly promoted to Italy’s Serie A, has finalized an agreement with Sevilla FC for the transfer of striker Akor Adams. The transfer deal, reported to be worth €16 million, comes after Sevilla initially rejected Venezia’s opening offer.
This acquisition marks a milestone for Venezia, as Adams will become the club’s most expensive signing to date.
The 26-year-old striker joined Sevilla from Montpellier in January 2025. During his tenure with the Spanish club, Adams made a notable impact, scoring 10 goals and delivering three assists in 32 appearances across all competitions.
Adams also played a significant role for the Nigerian national team during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, contributing to Nigeria’s bronze medal finish in the tournament.
Before his time in Spain, Adams began his professional career with Lillestrøm in Norway and has represented Nigeria at the U-20 level.
