Troops Intercept Suspected Boko Haram Logistics Suppliers in Borno State
Damboa, Borno State — Forces involved in Operation HADIN KAI intercepted suspected logistics suppliers for Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) on Tuesday. The operation, which recovered various supplies, occurred in the Damboa Local Government Area.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported that the incident took place around 2:30 p.m. during a farm protection patrol conducted by troops from the 19 Battalion (Motorised), in collaboration with the 25 Brigade Garrison.
According to Makama, the troops encountered two individuals suspected of transporting logistic supplies along Kauji Road. Upon noticing the approaching soldiers, the suspects abandoned their bicycles and supplies, fleeing into nearby bushland.
Items recovered at the site included two bicycles, five cartons of energy drinks, one carton of milk, one carton of soft drinks, two cartons of veterinary medicines, and a blue canopy.
Security sources indicated that the seized items have been placed in military custody for further investigation and appropriate action.
