UCL: Oliseh names world’s best player, says Mbappe did PSG favour

Sunday Oliseh Declares Ousmane Dembélé the World’s Best Player

Former Super Eagles captain Sunday Oliseh has identified Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé as the best football player in the world currently. Oliseh made this assertion during an episode of his show, “Sunday Oliseh Global Football Insights.”

On the program, Oliseh suggested that French striker Kylian Mbappé’s decision to leave PSG for Real Madrid two seasons ago was beneficial for the club. He recalled that Mbappé had declined a new contract at the start of the 2023-2024 season after PSG rejected a €120 million offer from Real Madrid for him.

“I will say that [Kylian] Mbappé did PSG a favour because prior to his exit, it was said that he called the shots at the club,” Oliseh stated.

He highlighted a change in team dynamics, noting that players now recognize the importance of commitment. “When you hear things like that from Dembélé, who is the best player in the world, it tells you that PSG has totally evolved,” Oliseh added.

He also remarked on PSG’s progress in recent years, stating, “This is the evolution of football. They are now in the Champions League final with practically the same team for twenty-four months.”
