Zimbabwe Football Association Announces Warriors Squad for 2026 Unity Cup
The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has officially announced the squad for the Warriors ahead of the 2026 Unity Cup, according to reports from DAILY POST.
Head coach Kaitano Tembo has named a roster of 24 players, with a notable emphasis on foreign-based talent. Only two local players have secured a place in the squad: goalkeeper Future Sibanda and midfielder Mongameli Tshuma.
The team will be led by captain Marvelous Nakamba, who plays for Sheffield Wednesday in the Sky Bet Championship. Assistant captain Marshall Munetsi is also set to return to the squad after a five-month absence.
The Warriors are scheduled to take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the first semi-final, which will take place at the Valley in London on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
