World Cup 2026: Mbappe fires strong warning to France teammate
Kylian Mbappé Issues Caution to French Teammates Ahead of World Cup Semi-Final
France captain Kylian Mbappé has issued a stern reminder to his teammates as they prepare for their World Cup semi-final against Spain on Tuesday. He emphasized the importance of remaining vigilant until the tournament’s conclusion.
In a statement reported on FIFA’s website, Mbappé underscored that the team must not become complacent. “I don’t know if I’d call it a ‘mission’, but we all know we can only relax if we win it. We can’t let our guard down until then,” he said.
The French side, known as Les Bleus, finished as runners-up in the previous World Cup held in Qatar four years ago, losing to Argentina in the final. Mbappé acknowledged that his team still has much to prove if they hope to be regarded as an “invincible team.”
As France aims for victory, the focus remains on the task at hand, with Mbappé urging his teammates to remain resolute in their pursuit of the title.
