2027: I know the mistakes Tinubu has made — Adebayo

Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate for the Social Democratic Party (SDP), asserts that he is aware of the mistakes made by President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Adebayo, however, has stated that he will not assign blame to Tinubu if he assumes the presidency in 2027.
In an interview on TVC’s Politics program aired on Sunday, Adebayo emphasized that any successor to Tinubu must accept both the accomplishments and challenges left behind by the current administration.
“When I become President, by God’s grace, I’m not going to blame President Tinubu,” Adebayo said. “Once I take the oath of office, I am inheriting everything that the President before me has done.”
Adebayo noted the importance of recognizing the existing state of affairs, saying, “If I’m going to enter a State House that wasn’t built by me, drive on a road that wasn’t built by me, and conduct convocations at universities that were not established by me, it means the incumbent before me left assets and, if applicable, liabilities as well.”
