Blord, VeryDarkMan agree to settle legal dispute after Sowore’s intervention

Social Media Influencer VeryDarkMan to Settle Legal Dispute with Blord
LAGOS—Social media influencer VeryDarkMan has reached an agreement to amicably settle his ongoing legal dispute with cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, also known as Blord.
This development follows the mediation efforts of human rights activist Omoyele Sowore.
On April 1, 2026, Blord was remanded in Kuje prison for 26 days after a social media altercation with VeryDarkMan. Following his remand, Sowore criticized VeryDarkMan and his attorney, Marshall Abubakar, for leveraging their influence to secure the detention, pledging to assist in Blord’s release.
In a response to Sowore’s comments, VeryDarkMan expressed his discontent and threatened legal consequences against the activist.
However, just two weeks after being remanded, a court granted Blord bail on self-recognition. Abubakar, who represents both Blord and Sowore, informed reporters after the bail decision that the parties had mutually decided to resolve the matter.
“We appreciate Sowore for his intervention, and we now consider Blord a brother and friend,” Abubakar stated. “We hope to report back to the court soon with progress on our amicable resolution.”
He further acknowledged VeryDarkMan’s willingness to settle, recognizing that while the influencer had legitimate grievances, the situation could have been managed differently.
“This matter is now about resolution, and both Blord and VeryDarkMan are respected figures among the youth in this country,” Abubakar added. “We believe in the potential of young leaders to shape the future of our nation.”
The next court date will focus on providing updates regarding the ongoing settlement discussions.
