Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola expressed regret over the dismissal of Liam Rosenior as head coach of Chelsea. Rosenior was let go on Wednesday, following Chelsea’s 3-0 loss to Brighton in a Premier League match on Sunday.

During a post-match press conference after Manchester City’s 1-0 victory over Burnley, Guardiola emphasized his belief in Rosenior’s capabilities as a manager. “I’m so sorry,” he said, acknowledging the difficult nature of such decisions in football.

Guardiola highlighted Rosenior’s qualifications, stating, “I’m pretty sure he is a manager for that level.” He added, “Always when this happens, I always think about how lucky, again, I am to be in the club where I am.”
