U-20 WWCQ: Falconets land in Ikenne for Malawi clash

Nigeria’s Falconets Prepare for U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers
The Nigerian U-20 women’s national football team, known as the Falconets, has arrived in Ikenne to begin the final phase of their training camp in advance of their qualifying match against Malawi for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Under the guidance of Coach Moses Aduku, the team recently concluded a three-week training session in Abuja, focusing on their preparation for the upcoming fixtures.
The Falconets will host Malawi in the first leg on Saturday at the Remo Stars Stadium, with the return match scheduled in Blantyre the following week. In the previous round, Nigeria secured their place in the qualifiers by defeating Senegal 3-1 on aggregate.
Malawi also demonstrated strong performance in their last match, overcoming Guinea-Bissau with an aggregate score of 8-2. The 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup is set to take place in Poland from September 5 to 26.
