Shooting Stars’ Balogun unhappy after Oyo State Federation Cup loss

Shooting Stars midfielder Alade Balogun expressed disappointment following the team’s defeat in the 2026 Oyo State Federation Cup. The Oluyole Warriors lost to Crown FC 4-2 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw in regulation time during the match at Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Sunday.

Reflecting on the outcome, Balogun acknowledged the need for improvement. “I feel very bad for the outcome of the game because we should have won the cup,” he stated in an interview with 3SCfanstv. He noted that the team is committed to learning from the loss and enhancing their performance in future matches.

Despite the setback, both Crown FC and Shooting Stars will represent Oyo State in the upcoming 2026 President Federation Cup.
