KANO, Nigeria — Barau FC has secured its first title in the history of the Kano State Federation Cup after defeating Bichi First FC 3-2 on Monday at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
The match highlighted Barau FC’s resilience, as they overcame the Nigeria National League side, Bichi First, which previously eliminated the NPFL team, Kano Pillars, from the tournament.
With this victory, both Barau FC and Bichi First FC will represent Kano State in the upcoming national President Federation Cup.
The Nigeria Football Federation will soon announce the date and fixtures for the Round of 64 in the national competition.
