Nigerian Singer Rema Discusses Breakup with Ex-Girlfriend

Nigerian artist Divine Ikubor, known professionally as Rema, has opened up about the reasons behind his breakup with his former girlfriend. In a recent interview with YouTuber Korty EO, Rema described the relationship as “beautiful,” but acknowledged it was marked by challenges.

He stated that the pressure of public life compounded issues at home, citing instances where he sought solace after facing external stressors, only to find tension awaiting him instead.

“The relationship was beautiful but quite manipulative,” Rema said. “The world puts so much pressure on me, but coming home should be a place of relief. When you come back home and face more pressure, it becomes a different story. For now, I’m done.”

Rema ultimately decided to end the relationship when he could no longer endure the difficulties it presented.
