Coppa Italia: Okoye available for Udinese vs Padova — Runjaic
Udinese head coach Kosta Runjaic announced that goalkeeper Maduka Okoye will be available for the club’s Coppa Italia match against Padova.
Okoye had previously sustained a shoulder injury during the Zebras’ pre-season training in Lienz, Austria. Initially, it was believed that he would miss the start of the season; however, he has successfully recovered.
“Okoye and Unai Gomez are available. Goglichidze took a knock in training, but it’s nothing serious, and we are evaluating him for today,” Runjaic said on the club’s official website. “Everyone else is available except for Zanoli and Chakvetadze.”
The 26-year-old Nigerian international was a standout performer for Udinese last season, making 30 league appearances and providing one assist. Additionally, Okoye recorded 10 clean sheets throughout the campaign.
The match against Padova is set to take place tonight.
