Super Falcons Defender Jumoke Alani Signs with Turkish Club Yüksekova Spor Kulübü
In a significant career move, Jumoke Alani, a defender for Nigeria’s Super Falcons, has signed a one-year contract with Turkish club Yüksekova Spor Kulübü, as reported by DAILY POST.
Alani transitions to her new team after competing in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) with Nasarawa Amazons. The 21-year-old athlete has made a name for herself in the league, previously playing for Edo Queens before her tenure with Nasarawa.
Her performance in the NWFL earned her a spot in the Team of the Season for the 2025/2026 campaign. Alani is also recognized for her contributions to the national squad, having previously represented Nigeria at the U-20 level.
Notably, she was part of the Super Falcons team that secured the gold medal at the 2023 All Africa Games. Alani has also been included in the preliminary squad for the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games.
