Osun Election: Adeleke loses voice after praise, worship sessions, doctor orders bed rest

Governor Adeleke Loses Voice After Celebratory Events

Osogbo, Nigeria – Governor Ademola Adeleke has lost his voice following a series of praise and worship gatherings and a night vigil held to celebrate his victory in the recent Osun governorship election.

This information was shared on Tuesday by Olawale Rasheed, the governor’s special adviser, during an appearance on Arise Television’s Morning Show.

Rasheed indicated that Adeleke has been advised by his doctor to take bed rest but assured the public that the governor would soon address them directly.

“For the past two days, we have been engaged in praise and worship and a night vigil to express gratitude for God’s blessings on the governor and the state,” Rasheed said. “Unfortunately, Governor Ademola Adeleke lost his voice, and the doctor has recommended he rest. He will return and speak to the public himself.”

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Adeleke, representing the Accord Party, as the winner of the Osun State governorship election on Sunday.
