EPL: Joe Cole names club to win title if Arsenal fail to sign Victor Osimhen

London – Former Chelsea player Joe Cole has indicated that Arsenal’s chances of securing the Premier League title this season hinge on their ability to sign striker Victor Osimhen.
During a recent episode of the Dressing Room podcast, Cole emphasized the importance of strengthening Arsenal’s offensive lineup. He expressed concern that without a strong forward, particularly a “number nine,” the team may struggle to compete with reigning champions Manchester City.
“I think Manchester City will win the title if Arsenal doesn’t bring in a number nine because I still think that will be a problem for them,” Cole said. “Therefore, I am predicting Manchester City to clinch the league ahead of Arsenal. However, should they sign Victor Osimhen, I would change my prediction.”
Osimhen, who is approaching his 28th birthday in December, has gained recognition as one of the top strikers in the world. He played a pivotal role in leading Napoli to the Serie A title in 2023 and has also claimed two Turkish league titles and one Turkish Cup during his career.
The Nigerian international has made a significant impact since joining Galatasaray, scoring 61 goals in 75 appearances and providing 16 assists. He is currently contracted with the Turkish club until June 2029.
