Victor Osimhen Joins Ranks of Galatasaray’s Top Scorers
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has made history at Galatasaray by becoming the third-highest scoring foreign player in the club’s history. He reached this milestone following a standout performance on Friday, where he scored two goals in Galatasaray’s decisive 4-0 win against Erzurumspor.
With his latest brace, Osimhen has now amassed a total of 62 goals and 16 assists in 76 appearances for the club. At 27 years old, he finds himself trailing only Mauro Icardi and Gheorghe Hagi on the all-time foreign scorer list for Galatasaray.
Icardi holds the record with 77 goals in 134 matches, while Hagi, a club legend, scored 72 goals over 192 appearances. Osimhen’s achievement puts him just ahead of Milan Baros, who netted 61 goals in 116 matches for the team.
Galatasaray will next face Göztepe at Rams Park on August 29.
