Abducted 10-year-old girl found abandoned in Adamawa
A 10-year-old girl reported missing from Jada in the southern region of Adamawa State has been located in the nearby Mayo-Belwa Local Government Area.
Authorities from the Adamawa State Police Command confirmed that Ummi Jafar was abducted from her home in Jada by unknown individuals. Following a report of her disappearance, police launched a search operation. The child was subsequently found abandoned at Mararaba Mbilla in Mayo-Belwa, according to a police statement.
Suleiman Nguroje, the Police Public Relations Officer, stated on Thursday evening that Ummi was taken to a medical facility for evaluation and has since been discharged.
Currently, she remains under police care as investigators work to determine the circumstances of her abduction and identify those responsible for the incident.
Nguroje reassured the public that the investigation is ongoing and that efforts are being made to apprehend all individuals connected to the crime, emphasizing that they will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
