NPFL: Osanga upbeat Nasarawa United won’t lose to Kwara United
Nasarawa United captain King Osanga expressed confidence in his team’s prospects ahead of their match against Kwara United on Wednesday. The encounter is scheduled to take place at the Rashidi Yekini Stadium in Ilorin.
Following a home draw with Rivers United on Sunday, Osanga indicated that the players are eager to return to winning form. “It wasn’t an easy game against Rivers United, and unfortunately, we didn’t achieve the desired result at home. We are focused on bouncing back against Kwara United in Ilorin,” Osanga said in a statement to Toshsports.
He acknowledged that playing on home turf gives Kwara United an advantage due to their supportive fans. However, he emphasized that Nasarawa United has its own strategies and is aiming to secure at least a point from the match.
Osanga also highlighted the team’s commitment to improving performance compared to the previous season. “We all know how we started last season, but in football, there are always ups and downs. This season, we want to perform better and finish higher than last year,” he stated.
Last season, Nasarawa United concluded the league in sixth place.
