NPFL: Boboye praises Insurance players for win against Kwara United

Bendel Insurance technical adviser Kennedy Boboye praised his players for their adherence to tactical strategies during a 2-1 victory over Kwara United on Sunday in Ilorin.

After initially falling behind, the Benin-based team secured the win with goals from Kayode Oke and Chinedu Nwosu, while Stephen Gideon scored for Kwara United.

Boboye expressed satisfaction with his team’s ability to rebound and seize the win. “We had our formation to execute while coming here, which paid off, though we lost concentration with the first goal we conceded,” he said in an interview with Sports Digital.

He added, “We were pressing to make sure we got the three points, and it paid off. We pressed to ensure we equalized, and the second goal came through another counterattack that caught them off guard.”

With this victory, Bendel Insurance advanced to third place in the league, amassing 18 points from 10 matches.
