Lagos Ports See Steady Influx of Vessels Awaiting Discharge

No fewer than 10 vessels are currently docked at Lekki Deep Sea Port, Tin Can Island Port, and Apapa Port in Lagos, awaiting the discharge of various consignments. These include bulk urea, general cargo, containers, aviation fuel, diesel, and crude oil.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) made this announcement in its latest Shipping Position report released Friday.

In addition to the vessels already at port, the NPA reported that 38 more ships carrying petroleum products, food commodities, and diverse goods are scheduled to arrive between February 20 and February 28. The incoming vessels are expected to deliver items such as bulk wheat, beans, crude oil, empty containers, bulk urea, aviation fuel, blended stock, bulk clinker, diesel, bulk gas, and various containerized cargo.

The NPA emphasized that the continuous flow of maritime traffic underscores ongoing activities across Lagos ports, as preparations for cargo handling and distribution proceed.
