Nnamdi Kanu far better than Sunday Igboho – Sowore

Human Rights Activist Omoyele Sowore Criticizes Sunday Igboho, Supports Nnamdi Kanu
Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore asserted on Monday that Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), is superior to Yoruba activist Sunday Igboho.
Speaking to reporters, Sowore labeled Igboho a “nuisance” and challenged him to confront him directly. His comments followed a recent rally held in Aba, Abia State, where he demonstrated support for Kanu and demanded his release.
Sowore criticized the presence of figures like Igboho in activist movements, suggesting they deter people from opposing injustices. He also remarked on President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, stating that with the backing of 33 governors, Tinubu should not fear such rallies.
“It’s heresy comparing Sunday Igboho to Nnamdi Kanu. Kanu is far better than Igboho,” Sowore stated. He described Igboho’s political approach as “Amala politics,” a term often used in Oyo State to denote a self-serving style of governance. Sowore warned that Igboho might find himself in a “hall of infamy” due to his actions.
The discourse highlights ongoing tensions among various activist factions in Nigeria, as they navigate issues of governance and civil rights.
