Coppa Italia: Dele-Bashiru eyes historic feat with Lazio
Fisayo Dele-Bashiru will seek to become the fifth Nigerian to win the Coppa Italia when Lazio faces Inter Milan in the final next month.
Lazio advanced to the final after defeating Atalanta in a penalty shootout on Wednesday.
Obafemi Martins, a former striker for Inter Milan, was the first Nigerian player to claim the prestigious trophy. He was later joined by Joel Obi, Ogenyi Onazi, and Ebenezer Akinsanmiro on this exclusive list.
Dele-Bashiru, who joined Lazio two years ago from Turkish club Hatayspor, will also be pursuing his first silverware with the team.
The Coppa Italia final is scheduled to take place at Stadio Olimpico in Rome on May 13.
