Era of internal sabotage over – lPOB declares
Indigenous People of Biafra Declares End to Internal Sabotage
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) announced the conclusion of internal sabotage within the organization, following a resolution to a recent internal crisis that resulted in the expulsion of key members.
In an address to members worldwide on Monday, Mazi Chris Nwaogu, the newly appointed head of IPOB’s Directorate of State (DOS), emphasized a return to core values of loyalty, discipline, and accountability. Nwaogu was appointed by IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu after the dissolution of the previous administration, led by Chika Edoziem.
“We are committed to ensuring that the era of confusion, betrayal, and internal sabotage is over,” Nwaogu stated. He reiterated the organization’s foundational principles in pursuit of Biafra’s restoration.
Among his administration’s immediate priorities is the revival of Radio Biafra, a crucial communication platform that has remained inactive for some time. Nwaogu underscored the importance of the station in educating and mobilizing supporters globally.
In addition to restoring Radio Biafra, Nwaogu expressed a commitment to securing the release of detained IPOB members. He noted that the group’s legal team has begun efforts to identify individuals held by the Department of State Services (DSS) and other correctional facilities, aiming to provide legal representation and support.
“We must not forget those who remain imprisoned because of this struggle. A movement that neglects those who have sacrificed their freedom has lost its moral compass,” Nwaogu said.
He also addressed the welfare of members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), emphasizing the need for proper management and accountability of resources allocated for their support.
Highlighting the significance of financial accountability, Nwaogu stated, “Every contribution made by Biafrans represents a sacrifice. Those resources belong to the movement.” He pledged to restore financial discipline and transparency throughout IPOB.
Moreover, Nwaogu announced plans for weekly updates regarding Kanu’s legal situation, stressing the necessity for accurate information instead of speculation or misinformation.
He urged all Biafrans, both at home and abroad, to remain united and disciplined in protecting the integrity of the movement. Nwaogu also cautioned expelled members of the former administration against misrepresenting themselves as representatives of IPOB, warning that such actions would result in legal repercussions.
