Twelve Dead in Kaduna Road Accident
KADUNA, Nigeria — The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed that twelve individuals died in a road accident on the Kaduna-Kachia Road in Kaduna State.
The collision involved two overloaded Volkswagen Golf cars. In addition to the fatalities, two other passengers sustained serious injuries.

According to Andrew Paul Longkam, the FRSC sector commander in Kaduna, a total of 14 people were traveling in the two vehicles at the time of the crash, which occurred in Doka Village, located in Southern Kaduna.
The group consisted of eight males and six females. The accident resulted in the deaths of all eight males and four females, while two females survived with injuries.
Longkam reported that the vehicles involved included a blue Volkswagen Golf with the registration number APP 394 FN and a red Volkswagen Golf with the registration number ACN 205 HK.
Preliminary investigations suggest that a tire burst may have caused the accident. Longkam noted that none of the vehicle occupants, including the drivers, was wearing seat belts or using other protective equipment at the time of the incident.
The two injured individuals were transported to Rapha Hospital for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased have been taken to Idon General Hospital, where they will be held pending notification of their relatives.
