ABUJA — Four individuals, including three men and one woman, lost their lives in a road accident on Saturday evening in the Central Business District.
The collision occurred around 6:00 p.m., resulting in significant traffic congestion in the area. According to an eyewitness, who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the condition of anonymity, the victims were returning home from Sallah celebrations when the incident took place.
Stanley Gonji, Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) rescue team at the City Gate Unit, confirmed that emergency personnel responded swiftly to the scene and successfully evacuated the victims.
At the time of this report, officials were still working to provide a comprehensive statement regarding the circumstances of the crash. The deceased were transported to the National Hospital in Abuja.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing, according to NAN.
