NPFL shifts Ikorodu City vs Wikki Tourists to May 5
Nigeria Premier Football League Postpones Matchday 36 Fixture
The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has announced the postponement of the Matchday 36 encounter between Ikorodu City and Wikki Tourists. Originally set for Sunday, May 3, the match will now take place on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
The rescheduling is due to the Lagos State Federation Cup final, which is also set to be held on May 3 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan.
In a statement released on Monday, NPFL officials clarified the change: “Matchday 36 fixture, Ikorodu City vs. Wikki Tourists has been rescheduled from May 3 to May 5 owing to the Lagos State Federation Cup final at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos on May 3.”
Ikorodu City is competing for its first NPFL title, while Wikki Tourists faces challenges as they battle against relegation.
