Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dagogo Wokoma, Fubara highlighted the positive impact of the NYSC Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers, which has significantly improved access to essential medical services in underserved regions of the state.

The governor also noted an increase in the number of corps members assigned to Rivers State, suggesting greater confidence in the state’s security conditions and governance.

Fubara assured the corps members of ongoing government support throughout their service year and encouraged them to seize the opportunities presented during this period.

In his address, NYSC State Coordinator Moses Oleghe called on the state government to expedite the construction of a proposed 1,000-bed hostel to address accommodation issues at the camp.

During the ceremony, a total of 3,665 corps members took the oath of allegiance, marking the official beginning of their service.
