Conte’s comments come amid Lukaku facing disciplinary action for skipping recent training sessions, prompting the club to consider legal measures against the Belgian forward. Lukaku had been in Belgium during the international break, where he was recovering from an injury, but he did not return to training as expected.
In an interview with DAZN, Conte stated, “I’m disappointed by Romelu Lukaku. He didn’t even come to say hi to me. I didn’t speak to Romelu. He was there, close to my office, and we didn’t talk. I was not expecting this situation.”
