Tinubu gave my brother appointment because of Peter Obi – Isaac Fayose

Fayose’s Brother Questions Recent Appointment

Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has publicly criticized the recent appointment of his sibling as chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).

In a video shared on Facebook, Isaac Fayose expressed skepticism regarding the decision, particularly in light of timing that coincided with the recent visit of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

“Just days after Mr. Peter Obi visited me, they appointed my brother as a director general,” Isaac Fayose stated. “Why didn’t they appoint him earlier?”

He pointed out the disparity in appointments, mentioning that individuals who had not held gubernatorial office, such as Reno Omokri, received ambassadorial positions, while his brother had not been awarded similar roles in the past.

Isaac recalled a conversation with Ayodele Fayose, in which his brother indicated he had no interest in pursuing a future as a senator, minister, or director general after leaving office.

He added, “I know he may not accept the appointment, but if he does, who am I to question him?”

President Bola Tinubu announced Ayodele Fayose’s appointment on Monday, marking a significant development within the current administration.
