Nigerian Security Forces Arrest Suspected Terrorist Informants in Kebbi State

KEBBI, Nigeria — Three individuals suspected of aiding the Lakurawa terrorist group were arrested on Monday during an operation between the Combat Service Intelligence Brigade (CSIB) VII and the Nigerian Navy Special Boat Service in Kebbi State.

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the arrests occurred at approximately 10:45 a.m. in Kangiwa Village, located in the Arewa Local Government Area. The operation was said to be driven by intelligence efforts aimed at dismantling terrorist support networks in the North-West region.

Makama noted that the suspects were believed to have served as informants and logistics suppliers for the terrorist organization operating in the area. Following their apprehension, the suspects were transferred to the Nigeria Police Division in Kangiwa for further investigation and potential prosecution.
