Galatasaray’s Osimhen Urges Focus Following Loss to Samsunspor
ISTANBUL — Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen emphasized the importance of moving forward after the team’s 4-1 defeat to Samsunspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday.
In a post-match statement, Osimhen encouraged his teammates to bounce back and secure a victory at home next weekend, as they aim to clinch the championship title this season. He highlighted the need for resilience following the heavy loss.
“We must not dwell on this game. We have to keep pushing,” Osimhen said, as reported by Fotomac. “We need to win at home and secure the championship. Nothing has changed. The team will give everything, and we will concentrate on the next match.”
During the match against Samsunspor, Osimhen provided an assist for Galatasaray’s only goal, scored by Yunus Akgün.
Despite the setback, Osimhen has had a remarkable season, tallying 20 goals and eight assists in 32 appearances for the club.
