‘Don’t rush to marry, marriage not achievement’ – B-Lord
Nigerian Businessman Advises Youths on Delaying Marriage
Nigerian businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika, commonly known as Blord, has cautioned singles to wait until they are financially and emotionally prepared before entering into marriage.
In a recent episode of the Adult Gist podcast, Ifejirika expressed concern over young people hastily rushing into marriage due to peer pressure and societal expectations. He emphasized that marriage should not be viewed as an achievement.
“Don’t rush to marry. Take your time and make a good choice for a life partner,” Ifejirika advised. He highlighted the importance of treating potential partners with respect, noting, “Don’t break ladies’ hearts, because one day you will have a daughter, and what you did to other people’s daughters will come back to you.”
He urged both men and women to reflect on how they wish their children to be treated, advising, “Treat women the way you want them to treat your daughter. Ladies, treat a man the way you want them to treat your son.”
Ifejirika further warned against the dangers of rushing into marriage, stating, “If you rush into marriage, you will rush out.” He advised individuals to prioritize thoughtful decision-making, stating that age should not dictate marital choices. He cautioned that divorce can be challenging, particularly when children are involved, saying, “To reverse marriage is very very hard.”
