Afrobeats artist Daniel Benson, known professionally as BNXN, recently expressed his views on the ongoing discussion regarding the financial status of musicians in comparison to athletes.
In a livestream event with streamer Ojo, BNXN suggested that, with the exception of footballers, athletes, particularly those in the NBA, generally possess greater wealth than most musicians. He noted that his friendships with several NBA players have given him insight into their financial standing.
“These guys have so much money,” BNXN remarked, highlighting that Nigerian artists typically do not match the earnings of their American basketball counterparts. He specifically mentioned NBA player Jaylen Brown, emphasizing the substantial wealth associated with top athletes.
