‘I’m not their mates’ – VeryDarkMan dismisses Gehgeh, musicians, other influencers

Social media activist VeryDarkMan, also known as VDM, has rebuffed criticisms from fellow influencer Gehgeh and several musicians, asserting that he does not consider them to be on the same level as himself.

In a recent video, VDM addressed Gehgeh’s objections to his decision to import and sell products related to power supply, as well as remarks from other influencers in the industry. He criticized some of these individuals for promoting businesses related to betting, cryptocurrency, iTunes, and gift cards instead of leveraging their platforms to address pressing issues affecting Nigerians.

VDM claimed that many influencers travel abroad, return with luxury cars, and are showered with adoration from followers, yet fail to use their influence to advocate for solutions to the country’s challenges.

Defending his entrepreneurial ventures, VDM explained that he traveled to China, identified products that could potentially improve the lives of Nigerians, and made the decision to bring them back to the country. He challenged his critics to demonstrate instances when they have supported his initiatives calling for government action regarding national issues.

He remarked that his detractors often criticize without contributing to meaningful change. “All this bunch of clowns talking, I no rate una,” he stated. In dismissing comparisons to musicians, he added, “All of them, both the musicians, I’m not their mates.”
