‘Nigeria is not safe’ — BBNaija’s Cross alleges beggar robbed him in Lagos
Big Brother Naija star Cross Okonkwo has reported an incident in which he alleges a street beggar robbed him in Ikate, Lekki, Lagos.
In a video shared on his social media account, Cross detailed how several beggars approached his vehicle while he was parked in the area. He claims one of the individuals reached inside the car and took an item before fleeing the scene.
“I just got robbed,” Cross said in his video. “All these beggars were talking to me through my window. I did not refuse the guy, and he just ripped off something from my car and ran away.”
Cross attempted to chase the alleged robber but was unable to catch up as the man ran quickly. Following the incident, he expressed his concerns to the government regarding the presence of street beggars in Lagos and the implications for security.
“Nigeria is not safe. Federal government, what kind of mistake are you making by allowing these individuals on the street?” he remarked. “I don’t understand why you are allowing these people to be on the street. This is unfair.”
