Eleven Suspected Cultists Remanded in Kwara State Custodial Centre
Ilorin, Nigeria — Eleven individuals suspected of involvement in cult activities have been remanded at the Ilorin Custodial Centre following a ruling by the Kwara State High Court on Friday.
The suspects, all students at Kwara State University in Malete, were detained after an incident in which they allegedly assaulted another student. University security personnel apprehended the suspects before transferring them to state police authorities for further investigation.
The student reportedly attacked is currently receiving medical treatment at an unspecified health facility.
The spokesperson for the Kwara State Police Command, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, stated she was not immediately aware of the incident but indicated she would provide additional information as it becomes available.
