Kehinde Adegbodu of Gospel Duo Reveals Details Surrounding Twin Brother’s Death
IBADAN, Nigeria — Kehinde Adegbodu, one half of the well-known Yoruba gospel music duo, Adegbodu Twins, has shared details regarding the death of his twin brother, Taiwo Adegbodu. Taiwo passed away unexpectedly on March 1, 2026, just a week ago.
In a statement made to visitors at their home in Ibadan, Kehinde explained that Taiwo had not exhibited any prior health issues. He recounted the tragic events leading up to his brother’s death, revealing that Taiwo suffered a heart attack shortly after experiencing chest pain.
In a video that circulated widely on social media, Kehinde described their final hours together. The brothers concluded their nightly prayers at approximately 9 p.m. on February 28, before retiring to their separate rooms. At around 10:55 p.m., Taiwo knocked on Kehinde’s door, reporting that he was experiencing chest pains. Kehinde promptly transported him to the hospital, where Taiwo was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Kehinde emphasized that prior to this incident, Taiwo had been in good health.
