EPL: ‘Hardly have time to train’ – Cole Palmer opens up on Chelsea boss, Rosenior

Chelsea Player Supports Head Coach Amid Challenges
Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has voiced his support for head coach Liam Rosenior as the club navigates a difficult period in the Premier League.
Rosenior, who took over as head coach in January after the dismissal of Enzo Maresca, has faced obstacles in revitalizing the team. Chelsea was recently eliminated from the UEFA Champions League, suffering an 8-2 aggregate defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Round of 16. Currently, the club is positioned sixth in the league standings, with 48 points from 32 matches, jeopardizing their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next season.
In an interview with The Guardian, Palmer highlighted the challenges Rosenior faces due to the lack of a pre-season training period. “Hiring a manager mid-season means there is no pre-season and barely any time for training. The focus is solely on the matches,” he said.
Despite these difficulties, Palmer praised Rosenior’s abilities, stating, “The manager is competent. With a proper pre-season to communicate his ideas and implement his desired style of play, he is an exceptional coach.” He added that if the players perform to their potential and the club recruits the right talent, both Rosenior and the team could see significant improvements.
Palmer himself has faced scrutiny for not meeting expectations this season, partly due to injuries. He has scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 27 appearances across all competitions.
Looking ahead, Chelsea’s focus is now on the FA Cup semi-final scheduled for April 26, as they aim to secure a top-five finish in the league.
